Wessex Home Improvement Loans

Wessex has established a partnership with 10 local authorities in the South West of England for whom it delivers low interest rate home improvement loans. The scheme is designed to support lower income homeowners who need to repair and improve their property in line with Decent Home standards, but who have insufficient funds and are unable to afford to borrow at commercial rates of interest.

The loan scheme operates throughout Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, West Dorset, Bath and North East Somerset. Whilst Wessex provides comprehensive advice on its products and services and is happy to visit potential clients in their own home, prospective borrowers must first approach their local council to ensure they meet the required criteria for referral. Wessex can only lend where the council has approved the application. Please refer to the section on “Delivery Partners” for your council’s contact details.
